Thom says: “We can’t all be interested in everything, right? This documentary is the story of food clubs and farm co-operatives all over the United States that have been raided by local, state, and the federal government that reads more like a vicious, insensitive, rabidly paranoid attack that the governments see as protective acts. It’s easy enough to sympathize with these harassed farmers, many whom have lost their livelihoods and faith in the government. So, my strong criticism of this self-important documentary is of interest. Because the tract is so one-sided I did indeed feel aghast at the government tactics but I was continually questioning the reasons why this was indeed happening. The story is incomplete, & I also questioned the common belief that certain foods are much better for your health. There are so many fads and cultists out there that embrace a new way of eating that I feel is far from being proof positive that our daily food habits are killing the better part of a generation. The great irony for me is that I do volunteer work 4-hours a week for a group that is very pro-active in the farm labor movement. 1 1/2 cats”
