“I am in awe of how great this was, considering the directors last film was one of the two bad Dashcam’s of 2021. I really appreciated it was a movie about a tragedy that wasn’t just 90 minutes of misery like indie films are wont to do these days. Got a few really hearty laughs out of me. A lot of clever cinematography and camera work. Finn Wittrock leads a cast of “I know that guy from somewhere!” actors (hello, Walt Jr!!) and really nails the ennui of returning to a place that doesn’t really want you back and you don’t really want to go. Somehow manages to make vaping sexy while also taking a shot at 35 year old ravers (ouch, that hurt my feelings!) in the same scene. The last minute or two really blew me away. Phenomenal stuff here. Got me feeling like I need to go forgive some people who’ve wronged me!!!”
