Toni says: “The worst thing about a Buried Treasure eligible film ($208K made in the US) like ROB THE MOB is its title, directed by Raymond De Felitta who made CITY ISLAND.

“While it does describe what the film is about I guess, it made Paul and I think that this was going to be a stupid film.

“Granted the characters that make silly decisions, they were pretty accurately based on what happened with this real life Bonnie and Clyde depicted around 1991-1992 from both the screenplay to the acting from Michael Pitt and Nina Arianda, also joined supporting roles by Ray Romano (best I have seen film act as a journalist writing about their story) and Andy Garcia as one of the elders at the top, Big Al, and Frank Whaley as the couple’s boss in their collection agency day jobs.

“The idea is that mob obsessed couple even initially were able to rob social clubs to me was stranger than fiction and the use of flashbacks and forward in shooting style was well done as was capturing the time period of the early 1990s.

“This was definitely a pleasant surprise and worth screening amongst all of the other between the cracks films from this past year.”
