Thom says: “It’s been 36 years since director De Palma was in his hey-day as he captured my FILM-OF-THE-YEAR with CARRIE (1976). Since then he’s not been reliable although certainly he’s had such huge successes as SCARFACE and DRESSED TO KILL. I loved his Iraq conflict film REDACTED so I imagined this film would be fun until some minutes into the film I realized it was an adaptation of my #8 film of 2011 LOVE CRIMES and while it might have been fun to see A-listers McAdams & Rapace tramp it up in the roles originated by Ludivine Sagnier & Kristen Scott Thomas the script held no surprises except for an ending both silly and stupid. Trash can be fun and the story is a good one.”
