Brett says: “A do-it-yourself thriller-comedy that throws back to Spielberg’s made-for-television DUEL, this film is a microscopic budget first feature that tosses out the tractor-trailer vs. automobile and inserts a motorboat and kayak instead. The absurdity of that concept is the core of the film and sets the tone for what’s wrapped inside.

“Rough around the edges in dialogue editing and sequence fluidity at times, the heart of the film is still enough to carry it to a loose, enjoyable experience for those seeking a few laughs. It’s a fun film that’s pretty tightly knit despite budgetary limitations, and it sparked plenty of smiles even amid its cheeseball tone. There is a small cast of side characters to help add elements to the faux thriller plot, each of which the filmmaker tries to carve out a memorable niche. Though it’s a not a typical big screen type of film, no special effects or high value choreography in action scenes, there is a cheerleader within clapping for the spirited effort of the skeleton cast and crew involved here. There is a corner or two of the internet that loves the pursuit of finding low-budget, make-it-yourself passion projects, and for that pocket of cinephiles, this is one they’ll have to track down and give a try. 2 cats

Diane responds: “So impressed that you found this and watched it, Brett. I watched the trailer and am pretty sure it is the worst I’ve ever seen!”
