Chris says: “This 1980s-set drama about a young teacher and Britain’s Section 28 legislation (which prohibited the promotion of homosexuality) is a bit heavy-handed at times in ways where, say, PRIDE was not. However, you should see it for Rosy McEwen, who deserves to be front and center in this year’s nomination discussions: she’s as intuitive and subtle as Tilda Swinton might’ve been in her part had someone made this in the 1980s. 3.5 cats
