Best Movie

Winner! The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert – For the First Annual Chlotrudis Awards we did not have a nominating committee, and the entire voting body also nominated. The results were more mainstream than the awards have becomes in recent years. Still, it was that fun Australian flick, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, that squeezed past Pulp Fiction to take the Best Movie award.

Best Actress

Winner!Judy Davis for the roles of Katherine Witner in The New Age and Caroline Chasseur in The Ref – What a thrill for my favorite actress, Judy Davis, to win the best actress award in the Chlotrudis Awards’ first year. Her annoying hostage in The Ref coupled with the California socialite searching for a better way of life in The New Age allowed her to beat out her closest competition in Kathleen Turner.
