Michael says: “The new film by Wiebke von Carolsfeld (MARION BRIDGE) has not been officially released in the States yet. It’s small distribution deal will hit this fall, but I was lucky enough to see it at the Provincetown International Film Festival. In this beautifully rendered, and skillfully adapted film, a young girl finds herself alone in Montreal after her mother dies suddenly. Without adult supervision, she decides to save money until she becomes a millionaire. Through hard work and some deception, she embarks on her path, forgetting that it’s okay to accept help from others. It’s truly a beautiful film and I hope many of you get to see it. Lead actress Imajyn Cardinal is on my list of Best Actress, and this film will most likely get directing, screenplay, cinematography and editing nods from me as well. 5 cats”
