Beth says: “A French film co-directed by Jean-Marc Barr (also an actor, a la COTE D’AZUR) and Pascal Arnold, this film was about a group of beautiful but aimless French teenagers screwing around, getting high and playing in a rock band – until the most charismatic of the group is found murdered. The only one who seemed to be upset about it all, though, is his sister, who is also his best friend/occasional lover – yes, it’s one of those French films, with lots of casual nudity, beautiful people having inappropriate sex…lots of passion without much emotion. This story was based on a true case, in which the killers never gave a
reason for the murder – the directors chose to hew too closely to this fact, a choice I found ultimately unsatisfying. 3 cats”
