Thom says: “This collage of a film has tremendous parts that raise the stakes of success. An agoraphobic man goes off on a fantasy search for the meaning of life from inside his domicile with his best friend (what an abysmal friend!) based on a European trip from years earlier. They travel all around Europe after picking up a Spanish lady who the shut-in falls in love with. Their driving is represented by lines and images on maps and stage sets stand in for actual locations. The film is wildly ingenious and resourceful with crazy and delicious participants. Very much like an Ionesco play its absurd qualities nearly always work. 4 1/2 cats”
