Thom says: “I might be rating this a trifle high but I’m a sucker for these wrongful convictions of innocent people movies ever since the 3rd in the PARADISE LOST series almost was made my FILM-OF-THE-YEAR in 2011 before finally losing out to HOLY MOTORS. PARADISE LOST: THE CHILD MURDERS AT ROBIN HOOD HILLS (199 6), PARADISE LOST 2: REVELATIONS (2000), PARADISE LOST 3: PURGATORY (2011). That series was about 3 young men wrongfully found guilty of killing 3 schoolboys on scanty evidence that the creators of the project followed throughout the long years of incarceration before their final vindication. This case taking place in Texas is bizarre to the maximum with 4 Latina lesbians accused of gang raping of two young girls. All 4 were found guilty and spent years in prison only on the shaky testimony of the girls. That such miscarriages of justice are more common than believed is shocking and eye-opening.”
