Michael says: “Low-key, well told story of the struggle with addiction as a young man and his foster brother try to find a path in life. Strong performance by Will Poulter. 4 cats”
Julie says: “Well I sort of did it again accidentally this time! This Tuesday evening I went to see UNION COUNTY. Jessica and Laks were there as well. We all liked the movie (this was Jess’s second viewing!). Thanks to Michael for the prod to see, and yes a very powerful movie! This docudrama seamlessly blended real life with fictional narrative with an excellent lead perf by Will Poulter and other notable perfs (best supporting?) by Noah Centineo as his brother, Elise Kibler as a counselor and Annette Deao (who in real life runs the county-mandated drug court rehabilitation program in the film but we found out in the q&a also had taken some acting classes in the past). The Q&A with the director Adam Meeks and the lead actor Will Poulter was excellent! They said they could not stay for pictures (hint hint they wanted to go home)! So I ran off to the CVS for some shopping that took a very long time. Lo and behold as I was walking back to my car there was Adam Meeks sitting on a wall casually speaking to one woman. I was able to waltz right up and ask for an autograph since of course I brought my loyal sharpie! We chatted for a bit and I told him my stories I didn’t think the rest of the audience wanted to hear but were good stories that related to topics in the film. Then I proceeded to make my way to my car and who do I run into but Jess and and she had also been there waiting for somebody, hidden away on a bench towards movie’s the parking lot. So she just happened to get a pic with Will Poulter as he was leaving! So I can officially say we did it again!”
“4.35 cats on the movie maybe more …”
