It plays like a Mexican episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm directed by Roy Andersson: slow, deadpan, full of crossed wires and subtle digressions. I alternately laughed out loud and asked myself if I was tripping—especially in the second half, when everyone changes character a la MULHOLLAND DRIVE, although here there’s a clear explanation for that.
