Diane says: “Emilio Estevez, you’re no screenwriter. I say that with some sadness, since I did have a crush on him in the ’80s.
“Martin Sheen and director/writer Estevez play father and son, frustrated in their relationship. Healing comes on their walks as pilgrims on Spain’s Camino de Santiago de Campostela. Nice as a travelogue–lovely scenery–and my friend and I decided we’d like to walk the Camino ourselves (or part of it, as it’s 800+ km). But stock characters and telegraphed plot developments make for a clunky movie. Yorick van Wageningen (Joost from AMSTERDAM) is the only one in the cast who doesn’t seem like he’s acting. 2 cats.”
