Siblings return home to their 80-year-old father’s mansion in Reims to persuade him to sell the house–for his own good, of course! The family members are leery of each other, and often agonized as they face old hurts. Despite the oft-used premise, the plot and characters are original and compelling. Impeccable acting all round earns it an ensemble acting nom from me. Screenplay (by Delloye and Leonardo D’Antoni) nom too, as its 90 minutes take us efficiently and deeply into complicated relationships.
