Carolyn says: “I knew very little about this movie except that it was similar to BIRTH another movie out in theaters that I only heard a bit about. Louise, an admission director for Columbia’s School of Fine Arts, receives an application from a mysteriously familiar candidate. His name is F. Scott Feinstadt (Topher Grace), who turns out to be eerily similar to deceased ex-boyfriend of hers named Scott Feinstadt who left her for her best friend, Missy. She calls the applicant in for an interview, which turns into more. They agree on a date the next night, but in the intervening time, Louise finds out that her ex-husband, with whom she is still quite close, is a sex addict and slept with hundreds of women and even a few men during their marriage. Louise and F. Scott
get through this and other things, such as his meeting Missy and not deserting Louise and live happily ever after.

“The movie was a pleasant surprise though the actors had some trouble, perhaps due to the overly sappy screenplay. It was sappy on the level of A HOME AT THE END OF THE WORLD, which I loved, but the actors in P.S. did not fare as well. 4 cats
