Michael says: “The less said about this tired adaptation of Eric Orner’s gay-themed comic strip the better. Revolving around Ethan Greene, searching for love and a committed relationship, but continuously self-sabotaging every one he finds himself in, this film is a complete and utter bore. The laughs are missing, the acting is pretty poor, and the script is ridiculous. The one exception comes from Meredith Baxter who plays Ethan’s mom and displays enough talent to make it obvious that she belongs in another film. The film didn’t even offend me, which would have at least gotten me riled up and annoyed. I just tried to stay awake. 1 cat.”
Hilary says: “I think I’m the target audience for this one: 30-something life-long hag who loves CAMP and has a secret soft spot for romantic comedies. I went in expecting nothing and thus wasn’t disappointed; in fact, I laughed quite a lot. Daniel Letterle, who played CAMP’s resident man-whore Vlad, stars as Ethan, perennial made-for-TV-mom Meredith Baxter is perfectly cast as Ethan’s gay wedding planner mom, and Joel Brooks and Richard Riehle were a hoot as The Hat Sisters. Special props to the costume designer for creating the gayest outfit ever that didn’t include short-shorts, big socks and boots. 2 1/2 cats”
