Diane says: “LINOLEUM is a film with some tricks, like certain other films greatly loved by Chlotrudis. I won’t tell you which ones so as not to give any hints or spoilers. Cameron, aspirational astronaut and actual astronomer, faces a midlife crisis, and is reluctant to pursue a project that will fulfill his dream.
Julie says: “Loved this! The lead actor sort of reminded me of Phil Hoffman (looks wise) but the character was very different than anything I’d seen Phil in. I just read that yeah I’m not the only one to notice the resemblance.”Lots of great cinematography and production design. Loved the scene on the bicycle where all the rust colors are popping all over. Amazing!
“Great ensemble cast and the story was “fantastic”! 4.68 cats”
Chris says: “For someone with such a defined persona as a stand-up, Jim Gaffigan continues to surprise me as an actor (his co-star Rhea Seehorn is always dependably great.) Even more surprising is how I nearly teared up at the end of this unique, high-concept, lovingly handmade sci-fi dramedy. Hoping Colin West becomes a director people will know and not a flash-in-the-pan like the guy who made DONNIE DARKO, to which this owes something while also at times threatening to surpass it. 4 cats
