Kyle says: “KIDNAPPING MR. HEINEKEN is an entirely forgettable ersatz crime film whose plot is contained in the title, and yes, it’s about THAT Mr. Heineken, played by Anthony Hopkins. The trivia section on the IMDB listing is more interesting than anything in the movie, such as the green Heineken bottles being incorrect for the period (They should have been brown). The kidnappers are played by young men so attractive and emotionally vulnerable as to defy casting verisimilitude. Thinking at length about positive things to say, I can report there are scenes set in Amsterdam, whose canals and streets are always photogenic, and no one dies from stabbing or shooting, although both a knife and a gun are brandished. 2 cats
