Thom says: “Berlinger (BROTHERS KEEPER, METALLICA: SOME KIND OF MONSTER) does a credible job here on the Ecuadorian land tragedy and the $27 billion lawsuit against Chevron (Texaco) brought by a group of indigenous people from the contaminated region of the Amazon. The film is extremely subjective as the talking heads defending Chevron all come across as self-serving jackasses. What appears is the horrible tragedy that due to the gigantic profit-margin of multinational corporations like Chevron, these companies are able to spend immeasurable amounts of moolah to keep the case going on forever. If interested the IMBd reader board on this film gets very nasty. 3 1/2 cats ”
