Thom says: “This desultory film was much more appreciated by filmgoer Beth but I just didn’t get it. We learn first off that two brothers lie dead in a remote forest with a woman barely alive lying beside them. William returns to Norway after many years abroad to reclaim his childhood love Janne. She leaves her current family and moves with William to a remote forest location and giving up all earthly goods. Not really buying the situation I found it even more senseless when it turns out they’ve returned to where William’s evil brother Ruud lives (he had sexually, physically, & mentally abused Janne growing up and the brothers
hate each other with Wagnerian passion. What follows is a back-to-nature thriller that fails to interest. 2 cats”
