Michael says: “Fans of TAKE THIS WALTZ should check out Todd Louiso’s HELLO, I MUST BE GOING, about a young woman, recently divorced, who moves back in with her wealthy parents in suburban Connecticut and finds herself unable to move forward with her life. Melanie Lynskey is marvelous as this temporarily lost soul, with self-esteem issues, a mother from hell (Blythe Danner) a difficulty accepting that her marriage is over, and a new relationship that is probably not the best step forward. The emotions and choices Lynskey’s character makes are true and heartfelt, even if they might be frustrating to the viewer. But Lynskey’s thoughtful performance, actress Sarah Koskoff’s deft and quirky screenplay, and Louiso’s gentle direction make HELLO I MUST BE GOING a rewarding film. 4.5 cats”
Julie says: “Engaging and incredibly funny. A gem. 5 cats”
Hilary responds: “Agreed! If you’re not already on the Screener list for this one, I highly recommend it.”
