The film world lost Robert Forster this week, a talented actor who has over 180 credits in film and TV. Forster’s films such as Jackie Brown, Mulholland Dr., and Lakeboat have all been recognized by Chlotrudis, and the man himself was nominated in the Best Actor category for the little seen Diamond Men in which he plays an aging diamond salesman mentoring a young up and comer, played by Donnie Wahlberg. Most recently seen in El Camino: a Breaking Bad Movie (in theaters now) Forster will most likely be most remembered for his roles as Max Cherry in Jackie Brown and Detective McKnight in Mulholland Dr.
Mr. Foster will be missed by Chlotrudis. Member Diane Young described him as “Chlotrudis’ new best friend” after we got to meet him at the High Falls Film Festival. For me personally, I will remember him fondly as Sheriff Frank Truman in Twin Peaks: The Return, stepping in ably when Michael Ontkean couldn’t return as Sheriff Harry Truman.
