Submissions will be accepted through October 15, 2008, with an Early Bird deadline of September 15, 2008, Advanced Deadline of October 1, and an Extended Deadline of October 31. The fees for submission are $15 (Early Bird deadline), $20 (Advanced Deadline), $30 (Regular Deadline), and $45 (Extended Deadline). Submissions will be handled through Without a Box. Please visit the Submissions Guidelines for information on submitting your entry. Submissions will only be screened if the rules for entry are followed. An entry form is linked off the guidelines page. Films under twenty minutes in length, live-action, animated, narrative and documentary are eligible. Last year’s winners GIRLS ROOM and FISH, BUT NO CIGAR have gone on to much success, playing film festivals both nationally and worldwide since their Chlotrudis wins. All films will be screened by the Chlotrudis Society Short Film Committee with the best selected for the festival and voted on by members and the audience, in two categories; Best Short and Audience Favorite. The winning director of Best Short will also receive a cash award, and the winning films will be officially announced and honored at the Fifteenth Annual Awards Ceremony to be held in March 2009.
