CHLOTRUDIS SOCIETY SPONSORS QUEBECOIS COMIC DRAMA ‘I KILLED MY MOTHER’ at PROVINCETOWN FILM FEST
Chlotrudis is pleased to announce its sponsorship of I KILLED MY MOTHER, at the PROVINCETOWN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (PIFF), to be held June 16 - 20. Xavier Dolan’s film was one of the most talked-about directorial debuts of 2009 at last year’s Toronto Film Festival, whose programmers noted, “in a triple-threat feat, Dolan writes, directs and stars in the semi-autobiographical tale of a young gay man coming of age while struggling with his tortured relationship with his mother.” Dolan plays the lead, a teenager with problems with his single mother – they fight constantly and are both embarrassed and infuriated by the other’s choices, until a standoff leads to an unexpected and stakes-raising escalation.
